Milk and Mums Co Nanny
Duration: 4 hours
Cost: $320 (day or night)
Our popular nanny service is a way you can get some additional support transitioning to parenthood and, most importantly, catch up sleep during the day or night. We come to your home and can assist with anything you need with your little one.
Our experienced, highly qualified and gentle Midwives or Paediatric Nurses help with settling your baby.
In addition, our staff can provide education and assist with correct attachment, latching and feeding positions if breastfeeding. Often mums struggle with engorgement and our staff can tailor their advice and how best to manage this in the interim to facilitate your feeding journey.
As well as assisting with bottle feeding, pumping, expressing we can provide correct guidance as to the safe storage of expressed breastmilk and/or formula bottles if that is your preferred method of feeding your new baby.
We can advise on damaged nipples, pain with feeding, night feeds, sleep safety, SIDS recommendations, sleep hygiene and rooming-in set-up. We can also assist with any light maternity duties from washing, folding, sterilising etc. In our endeavour to enable your family to thrive not just to survive.
Our staff can come to your home for casual day or night shifts, regular shifts or full-time placements for extended periods, making it an ideal service during a new baby’s first few months.
Please rest assured that our priority is the health and safety of your baby/babies. We follow safe sleeping practices in line with SIDS, American Academy of Paediatrics and World Health Organisation recommendations.

Cost: $240 (day or night)
Our Helping Hands service is designed to give parents an extra layer of care and support — whenever you need a break, a helping hand around the house, or just a few hours to recharge.
Our experienced and nurturing carers are mums or caregivers themselves, with hands-on experience caring for babies, toddlers, and young children. They come to your home to provide practical, caring support while you rest, spend time with your partner, or enjoy a few hours out.
Whether you need help during the day or evening, our team can assist with:
Caring for your baby, toddler, or older child
Settling and playtime routines
Light household duties such as washing, folding, tidying, and sterilising bottles
Meal preparation or snack support
General companionship and reassurance
Our Helping Hands are not medical or clinical staff, but they bring genuine experience, kindness, and reliability to every home they visit. They work under the guidance and ethos of Milk and Mums Co — always prioritising the health, safety, and comfort of your family.
This service is perfect for:
Parents needing a few hours of rest or time for self-care
Families without local support nearby
Those who want caring, trustworthy in-home help at a more affordable rate

Milk & Mums Co – Trusted Child & Household Support Recruitment
Why choose us?
Finding the right person to help with childcare or household support can feel overwhelming. At Milk & Mums Co, we specialise in helping busy families just like yours connect with experienced, reliable nannies and “helping-hands” (household assistants, errands support, light domestic duties) throughout Australia.
We know how important safety, fit and trust are for your home, and our streamlined process is designed to give you peace of mind.
Here’s what sets us apart:
Comprehensive screening: we carry out background checks, Working With Children checks, reference verification and interview all candidates.
Tailored matching: we take time to understand your family’s unique needs — number and ages of children, required hours, key responsibilities, household culture — so we can present candidates who are a strong fit.
Ongoing support: once we’ve placed someone, we’re here to help you navigate the employment setup, including contracts, trial periods and check-ins to help make sure the placement is successful.
Transparent fees and service: our fee-structure is clear, and you begin with a modest start-up amount which is deducted from the final service fee when a successful candidate is found.
Flexibility across roles: whether you need a full-time nanny, part-time help, after-school care, overnight support or a household assistant who can pick up errands and tidy up — we have experience across these types of roles.
How it works – our 4 step process
1. Initial Consultation & Briefing
You fill out our registration form and we conduct a short consultation to clarify your family’s requirements — number of children, ages, hours needed, start date, any special needs, plus any household duties you’d like covered.
2. Search & Short‐list
We commence the search immediately upon payment of the initiation fee (see Pricing section below). We tap into our established network, advertise the role as needed and screen candidates internally. Then we present you with a shortlist of well-matched profiles, you select who to interview and we coordinate the interview process.
3. Selection & Placement
Once you’ve chosen your preferred candidate, we assist with the employment paperwork (contract templates, duties schedule, trial period guidance). Upon confirmation, the remainder of our fee is due. We encourage a trial and check-in after the first few days to ensure things are working well.
4. Follow-up & Guarantee
We follow up after the placement to see how things are going. Our aim is a lasting relationship between your family and your nanny/helping hand. If, for whatever reason, the placement doesn’t work within the agreed probation/trial period, we will help source a replacement (subject to the terms).
What is included
Our recruitment service covers:
Advertising the role and sourcing candidates
Face-to-face (or video) interviews with shortlisted candidates
