Milk & Mums Co provides specialised antenatal and postnatal care

by Cathy Shortt, a Registered Nurse, Midwife and Lactation Consultant with over 20 years experience. Cathy is here to support your successful and exciting transition to parenthood in the comfort of your own home.

By arming women with techniques that ensure correct positioning and attachment as well as an ability to identify normal baby feeding behaviours and sleep patterns, challenges before, during and after birth can be confidently and successfully navigated.

The main benefit provided by our service is that mum and baby get to know each other in a calm, relaxed and supportive environment. We aim to provide education that will foster confidence and enable the family to thrive.

Specialist care from Milk & Mums Co provides consistent advice to the family. Eliminating conflicting and confusing advice and providing a concise, clear plan reduces stress. It is well documented that continued support of mums, dads and babies increases the success rates of breastfeeding.

Receiving Cathy’s specialist care means you leave the hospital knowing you will have continued support in the comfort in your own home. With ample time and privacy you can receive the care you deserve.

Continued non-judgmental support includes referral for ancillary support services where deemed necessary. We liaise with Obstetricians, Paediatricians, GPs, Early Childhood Health Services, Speech Pathologists, Osteopaths, Physiotherapists, Karitane and Tresillian.

Milk & Mums Co caters to families in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. Care can take place as private consultations in the clients home or in the hospital environment.
